Heceta Head Light notecard

Heceta Head Light

Florence, Oregon - Built in 1894

In the spring of 1894, a fifty-six foot white masonry tower was completed on the Heceta Head cliffs.
Because of its remote location it took nearly two years to build. The lighthouse sits on the Heceta Cliffs at an
elevation of 205 feet and its beam can be seen 21 miles out to sea.

Because of its beautiful cliff setting, this is one of the most photographed lighthouses on the West Coast.
